Here you’ll find links to
homework help, things to do in the Northern Neck and other nearby places, coming
events and even a picture gallery.
Do you know about the
Library’s Homework Center? If you’re in third grade or above, you can come to
the library Monday through Thursday afternoons from 3 till 5 and get help with
your assignments. The school buses from the Northumberland Public Schools will
drop you off at the library, but we welcome kids from other schools and
homeschooled kids too. Contact the library for information. Email us at

prize drawings, and
a really “buggy” make-and-take craft! Don’t miss it!

The Buggy Magic of Brad Matchett
Brad, who is ALWAYS a hit with kids and parents alike,
will be back again this year to start the Program off with a great program.
His “assistants”, Houdini the bunny and Chicken Nugget, the miniature
rooster, will help perform some lively magic for us, as we begin our summer
of Buggy Book fun.
This is an annual crowd pleaser, so register early for
guaranteed seating!

“Bugs are Insects, Too!”
Join us for a wonderful hour of information, fun facts
and “visits” with some bugs, insects, and arachnids (only if you want to!).
Our friends from the Extension Office will be bringing some bug friends and
will tell us all about them! The first twenty kids to register will receive
a special gift!

Jonathan Austin, the 24 Hour Emergency Juggler, will
combine laughable buggy stuff with his regular antics. He will be bringing
his “Flea Circus” for your entertainment as well!
This is a crowd pleasing performer who will entertain

“Come Into My Parlor, Please?”
Storyteller Gary Lloyd is back to close our program
this year with stories and facts about our 8-legged friends. Gary will
transform into Anansi, the African spider trickster before our very eyes!
Then, he’ll tell us the REAL story of Little Miss Muffett!
After the finale program, we will all get together and
break open
the Anansi Piñata, full of fun prizes!
As always,
there will be prize drawings at each program,
and prizes
for the adults, too!
