"There are some books that refuse to be written. They stand their ground year after year and will not be persuaded. It isn't because the book is not there and worth being written -- it is only because the right form of the story does not present itself. There is only one right form for a story and if you fail to find that form the story will not tell itself."

—Mark Twain (1835-1910) [Samuel Langhorne Clemens] American author, humorist

Document Actions

Welcome to the Kids and Teens page, a special place on the library’s website just for YOU!

Here you’ll find links to homework help, things to do in the Northern Neck and other nearby places, coming events and even a picture gallery.

Do you know about the Library’s Homework Center?  If you’re in third grade or above, you can come to the library Monday through Thursday afternoons from 3 till 5 and get help with your assignments.  The school buses from the Northumberland Public Schools will drop you off at the library, but we welcome kids from other schools and homeschooled kids too.  Contact the library for information.  Email us at library@nplva.org  or call 804-580-5051.
